  • Course description Are you looking to improve your knowledge of web design?

If you have completed the ‘Basic Web Design course’, or need to improve your Adobe Dreamweaver knowledge, then this course will help you develop a new level of understanding.

Building on the knowledge that you already posses, we have designed a course for those with some experience of HTML or XHTML, who need to gain an understanding of current web design techniques separating presentation from mark-up through cascading style sheets (CSS).

Designing to standards with accessibility in mind is the future of web site design. By the end of this 10 week course, you will have the necessary skills to split mark-up from presentation, have gained a thorough grasp of W3c standards compliant design and have the knowledge to style web page elements with CSS. The course will also address CSS best practice guidelines and provide you with the platform to become an accomplished CSS user.

The course will include instruction on; standards compliant mark-up, structuring pages and content, CSS, style forms and text, controlling colour, typography and layout, creating a print page and publishing your site.
