ObjectivesThe Open Language Programme allows you to learn a language or improve your skills as part of your degree and on some HND courses, whether you are on a language course or studying for an entirely unrelated subject. It is also open to members of the general public wishing to enrol solely on the OLP (as associate students). You can choose any of eight languages from Complete Beginner to Advanced. Our teachers use active, communicative methods that make learning both practical and fun. Our resources include satellite television, audio/video equipment and specialist language software.
Entry requirementsOn registration, your language competence will be assessed and you will be allocated to the appropriate language level. Formal qualifications as well as experience (e.g. time spent visiting, living or working in another country) are taken into account.
