  • Entry requirements Entry requirements: A 2:1 honours degree or higher from a British university in an appropriate biological or medical subject, including biomedical materials and pharmacology. Overseas students are only accepted with an honours degree or equivalent in a biomedical subject from an established university. For MBChB students, the minimum criterion for admission is satisfactory achievement in years 1-4 of the undergraduate medical programme with no failure at any examination.

    The MRes in Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine (TERM) is a collaborative degree programme that brings together expertise from the School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences and School of Material Sciences.

    This programme provides:

    -postgraduate-level training to equip students from biological and/or medical-related backgrounds with the specialist knowledge and research skills to pursue a career in the field of tissue engineering/regenerative medicine
    -a primary focus on strategies to repair, replace and ultimately regenerate various tissues and organs to solve major clinical problems
    -a comprehensive insight into topical issues including stem cells, polymer technology, surface fabrication and gene delivery
    -training to students to identify major clinical needs and formulate novel therapeutic solutions
