The Art of Lasers

  • Course description

    Develop a deep understanding of the use of lasers in industry, their abilities and how to create the artwork needed to make the best use of them in your future creative projects.

    Laser engravers are extremely powerful additions to any creative’s toolbox, and have had a huge impact on a wide range of industries due to their ability to quickly create precise, highly detailed artwork and products.

    On this course you will be guided through the use of Adobe Illustrator, the industry-leading graphic creation program, via a series of projects that will teach you all the tools you need to create perfect artwork suitable for a wide range of laser projects. Under the guidance of your tutor you will spend half the course getting hands-on experience with industry-leading laser equipment, providing you with a thorough understanding of what these machines are capable of.

    By the end of the course you will have a deep understanding of the use of lasers in industry, their abilities and how to create the artwork needed to make the best use of them in your future creative projects.

    Entry Requirements

    All students attending this course must be proficient using computers.

    What you need to bring

    A notebook and a pen, or tablet device/laptop if preferred and USB memory stick (8Gb recommended)
