This short course gives an overview of the recruitment process, enabling staff to develop an understanding of the process of identifying and recruiting new employees. The course covers relevant employment legislation, and goes on to explore the entire recruitment process. The course looks at methods for identifying vacancies, developing job specifications and job descriptions, as well as examining remuneration and the use of ranking bands for this purpose. The course goes on to examine the recruitment process including different methods of advertising for candidates, short-listing, interviewing and selection. The course develops an understanding of the processes involved in creating an effective recruitment process.
