  • Course description Suitable for senior managers and professionals in both the public and private defence sectors who are developing their roles as programme and project managers. Takes you on to further senior career opportunities in programme and project management which are increasingly becoming an integral part of organisational or business strategy implementation.

You will be taught by Cranfield University academic staff at the Defence Academy - College of Management and Technology responsible for leading research in programme and project management, and Government departments, particularly the MOD.
    Course description

Although programme management has its roots in project management, the two disciplines are markedly different and good project managers do not necessarily make good programme managers.

This course will develop both programme and project management competence in an environment which brings together both Ministry of Defence and public sector supplier personnel in a unique 'customer and supplier' environment.

Specifically, students gain the capabilities needed for the implementation of strategic change through project management or programme leadership in a defence industry or public sector context.

"The MSc has challenged my thinking in all aspects of programme and project management whilst giving me practical learning which I have been able to employ in my current role on a daily basis.

The learning environment generated by both the Cranfield teaching staff and the students has been excellent, making studying for a degree both stimulating and enjoyable. I would recommend this degree to anyone who is looking to make programme and/or project management their career of choice."
