The Diploma of Chinese Medicine and Syndrome Acupuncture is the first stage for practitioners wishing to learn more about Chinese medicine and acupuncture. It provides an introduction to the world of Chinese medicine and allows students to adminster acupuncture and Chinese healthcare therapy as an alternative, complementary treatment for their patients.
The diploma progresses from foundation level modules through to intermediate and advanced level modules, to give students a complete education in all key areas of Chinese medicine and acupuncture, from diagnostic techniques, pain syndromes and dermatology, to electro-acupuncture, gynaecology and herbal medicine. Each module also includes in-depth clinical tuition, small group practical sessions and patient case studies.
Students are taught at the AcuMedic Centre in London by professors from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, all of whom have extensive knowledge of both Chinese and Western medicine and many years’ experience in their chosen fields. Upon completion of the course, students will become accredited members of the Chinese Medical Institute and Register.
Candidates must be qualified medical doctors or healthcare professionals, who have an accredited qualification in anatomy and physiology and are current, registered, accredited members of their relevant professional organisation.
