Course descriptionThe potential development of new consumer products and environments fulfilling real social needs in areas like medicine, pollution control, energy efficiency, education and media is an exciting prospect. If you want to be part of a new generation of designers with advanced computing skills, then this could be the course for you. You will gain a clear understanding of the role and scope of design in all aspects of computer-based interactive systems. You will also be encouraged to use systems at an advanced level and to initiate innovative forms of design.
Duration and Mode of Attendance
Full-time
PgDip – one year (two semesters)
MSc – one calendar year. This includes the period of study for the PgDip.
Part-time
PgDip – two years (four semesters)
MSc – two years followed by a dissertation (which usually takes one further year).
Structure and Content
Within this course you are expected to successfully complete eight modules for the PgDip and eight modules plus a research dissertation for the MSc course. Subjects include:

The course is 100% assessed by coursework; there are no written examinations.
