Entry requirementsEntry Conditions PgCert/PgDip - You should normally have been employed in the construction industry for at least one year at an appropriate level and either posses a degree or equivalent qualification, in a science or engineering discipline from a recognized institution. MSc - You should normally have been employed in the construction industry for at least one year at an appropriate level and either posses an honours degree in an appropriate science or engineering discipline from a recognised institution, or equivalent professional qualification.

Course descriptionDuration and Mode of Attendance
Full-time
PGDip - one academic year
MSc - one calendar year
Part-time
PGCert - requires 1 day per week (normally a Monday) to cover four modules (over two semesters)
PGDip - requires 1 day per week (normally a Wednesday) to cover a further four modules (over two semesters)
MSc - no set attendance required over third year except where agreed by Course Director and/or Research Supervisor.
Professional Recognition
Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and Association for Project Management (APM) officially recognise the course, whilst others such as the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), and Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineering (CIBSE) consider the award to be of assistance in gaining professional qualifications. The course has been fully accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
