  • Objectives This award was developed in conjunction with the West Midlands Postgraduate Deanery It meets the guidelines issued by the Department of Health and the Royal Colleges to address the changing role of many senior practitioners The course attracts participants from a diverse range of healthcare professions, which creates a rich learning environment, as well as the opportunity to share experiences and reflections on teaching practice – you acquire a unique perspective of other allied professions Gain an understanding of organisational learning - you will design, facilitate and manage a training programme within a healthcare environment This programme will introduce you to the latest practices in learning, teaching and assessment It will enable you to develop your practical skills alongside your academic work
  • Entry requirements You should be a practising healthcare professional You should occupy, or have occupied, a position where you facilitate or manage learning, teaching or training and development within a healthcare environment You will normally need an Honours degree from a UK university or overseas equivalent, or a professional qualification and experience that is considered equivalent to an Honours degree Mature applicants who do not possess a degree but who have significant teaching, training and development experience will be considered for entry onto the programme
