    Approach

    Communicaid’s Polish courses are available seven days a week, 365 days a year.   Courses take place between 08:00 and 20:00 although training is also available outside of these hours upon request. 

    Suitable tailored and published materials will be used throughout your course, with recommendations on self-study material and extra reading made at the beginning and throughout the duration of your course.

    Polish course trainer

    All Communicaid Polish trainers are native speakers with at least 3 years’ professional Polish training experience.  In addition to relevant academic and linguistic qualifications and experience, many of our Polish trainers also possess considerable exposure and expertise in the professional world.

    Your Polish trainer will be assigned to you following the results of your diagnostic consultancy according to your objectives and areas of focus.  Detailed below is a sample profile of a member of our Polish training team.

    DG

    DG has over 10 years’ experience as a Polish language trainer.   Before relocating to the UK in 2003, DG qualified as a teacher and worked as a school teacher, before moving on to work for Europejskie Centrum Tlumaczen as a professional proof-reader and Customer Service Manager.   Her responsibilities at Europejskie Centrum Tlumaczen included proof-reading translations from other languages into Polish, recruiting and managing translators as well as holding client-facing duties such as dealing with customer orders, preparing company presentations and drawing up business proposals. 

    On arriving in the UK, DG’s focus has moved to training adults in Polish, successfully adapting her skills to accommodate a wide range of levels.  For Communicaid, she has delivered Polish courses to Deutsche Bank, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Defence School of Languages.

    Polish is the official language of Poland.  It is estimated that there are approximately 46 million Polish speakers worldwide.  38 million are estimated to reside in Poland. The rest, however, can be found in communities in former Polish territories annexed by the USSR such as Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine.  There are also sizeable communities of Polish speakers in the USA, Brazil and Argentina as well as many other countries throughout the world.

    Polish belongs to a sub-group of the Slavic language family.  Its closest relations are Czech, Slovak and Sorbian.

    Polish has a number of mutually intelligible dialects. The main ones include: Wielkopolski, Malopolski, Silesian, and Mazovian.

    Polish is written using the Latin alphabet and includes the following: a, c, e, l, n, ó, s, z, z
