Through a series of lectures, demonstrations and practical sessions, you will be guided through the fundamental principles and practice of photography.
During the 10 weeks, you will spend 3 hours each session with your tutor, studying the work of celebrated photographers, and learning how to see and make more interesting pictures.
You will develop a basic understanding of camera functions including shutter speed, aperture, ISO, lens control and picture-making components, such as composition, subject and lighting.
This course is the first in a series of Photography specialist programmes, and is recommended for anyone requiring a good fundamental knowledge of the subject.
Entry requirementsThere are no entry requirements for this course. It is suitable for both digital and 35mm film camera users (no film processing will be available for this course).
