Objectives
The Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing has been designed to meet the needs of individual students and their workplaces. The programme has been created in partnership with health service colleagues to ensure that it is grounded in the realities of contemporary nursing practice. The course aims to develop nurses who can practice at advanced level and offers a programme of study derived from full professional practice. You will take responsibility for advancing your own practice, and for documenting your progress in your practice portfolio. Plenty of opportunities are provided for reflection with other students, tutors and clinical supervisors. It is generally the case that course participants enjoy being part of a team of enthusiastic nurses from a variety of professional and geographical backgrounds.
