PGCert-Dip Strategic IT Management-PGCert Information Technology
ObjectivesThis Postgraduate course was the first of its kind in the UK and provides you with the opportunity to develop your IT management skills to an advanced level Our block mode and work-based learning modules offer you the versatility to tailor your masters to suit your background skills and specific interests This programme is aimed at graduates who wish to maximise their potential within the computing information management area The course is delivered in block mode - each module will consist of a reading period in which you will be expected to carry out some preliminary work, followed by four days at the Telford Campus (this will incorporate a weekend) where formal teaching will take place This will be followed by an assessment period in which you will have set work to be completed by a specified date Blocks are offered at approximately monthly intervals and can be tailored to suit your own circumstances For students in suitable employment, up to two modules of work-based learning may also be available as an option
Entry requirementsYou should have an Honours degree - if this is in a computing or information systems-related subject, or you have substantial IT-related experience, your choice of modules will be increased Graduates of other related disciplines will follow a more restricted programme All applicants should have an academic or commercial background in either IT or business In exceptional cases non-graduate applicants with substantial commercial experience will be considered
