  • Course description This programme will enable you to study theories of adult teaching and learning, theory and policy development in the field of adult literacy and numeracy, and engage in a piece of research related to developments in the field of literacy and numeracy. You will be involved in conceptual and theoretical analysis, policy critique and an examination of their practical implications in terms of developing and supporting adult literacies provision. In addition, you will devise and undertake an action research project in the field which links theoretical understandings to adult literacy and numeracy teaching.
