Neurorehabilitation (MSc-Diploma)

  • Objectives The course offers knowledge and expertise to increase students’ practical and theoretical knowledge of adult or paediatric neurorehabilitation and develop their evaluative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. These skills will serve to enhance the professions as a whole and improve client care.
  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements

    This programme is suitable for qualified occupational therapists or physiotherapists who are licensed to practice in the UK and have at least two years’ clinical experience, which should include some work in the field of neurorehabilitation. A degree or diploma in the relevant profession is required.

    If students wish to do the core module on Applied Practice, students must be working for a minimum of 16 hours in the field of adult or paediatric neurorehabilitation and have HPC registration. Applicants should also show evidence of personal development, which will be assessed by a study of the applicant’s curriculum vitae, including post-registration courses attended and career development.

  • Course description Course Description

    Students complete the generic module Research Methods in Health and Social Care; they have to complete a minimum of 50 credits from four core modules and up to 40 credits from optional modules. Students who proceed to successful completion of a research project and subsequent dissertation will be eligible for the award of a Master of Science degree.

    Students following the part-time clinical option choose a module which has a clinical component.
