    PgDip: 9 months full-time; 21 months part-time

    This programme, which is taught jointly with Heriot-Watt University, is intended to provide water engineers and managers with a broad understanding of the issues of water supply and treatment, in the context of burgeoning economic growth in the developing world and its environmental impact.

    Content

    Courses address:

        * Problems of analysis and design of river flood flows
        * Water supply systems and drainage systems
        * Coastal and estuary hydraulics
        * Water quality modelling
        * Environmental hydrology
        * Basin management
        * Environmental policy
        * Waste-water treatment
        * Coastal resource management.

    MSc students undertake an additional individual project.
