Course descriptionThis programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). It has been designed to be flexible and relevant to the student's individual needs and interests, with a strong emphasis on the application of theory to professional practice.
You will study modules in Research Methods, Exercise Psychology and Sport Psychology, and choose modules from Kinesiology or Effective Coaching. You will undertake Supervised Experience, an Independent Study, and a Dissertation relevant to Sport/Exercise Psychology.
The programme is delivered using a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, workshops, group activities, practical work, tutorials and role play. Each module comprises approximately 200 hours (including formal contact).
Professional Accreditation
The School was the first to be awarded BPS postgraduate professional training accreditation for this MSc. Completion of this course will form part of a period of study required for registration as a Chartered Psychologist.
