Objectives
The use of marketing skills and techniques to influence the behaviour of people is increasingly in demand in the health sector, local and national government and within charities and the not-for-profit sector. The MSc Social Marketing is an ideal course for graduates or those with equivalent professional experience whose interest is in developing skills and knowledge to influence people's behaviour for the good of society. This course is one of the first Social Marketing courses in the UK and builds on the success of our well-established and highly respected MSc Marketing and the influential social marketing research and consultancy we undertake. The course will give you a thorough academic and practical grounding in social marketing principles, policy, research, planning and implementation and develop your ability to understand and influence behaviour. You can study for the MSc Social Marketing as a full-time course or by flexible part-time delivery while continuing to work.

Entry requirements
You'll need: -a good honours degree (minimum 2:2) from a recognised Higher Education institution or equivalent from a recognised overseas institution, or -have a qualification such as the Advanced Certificate in Marketing, a BTEC or HND and have three years management experience, or -have a GMAT score of 550 or equivalent test or qualification. If English is not your first language, you will also need to demonstrate your English Language proficiency. For example, you should have either: -A minimum grade of 6.5 overall on the British Council International English Language Test (IELTS) -A TOEFL score of at least 600 (written scale) or 250 (computer scale)

Teaching and learning
You'll learn though formal classes and seminar sessions, as well as through group work and independent study. The work will include assignments, exercises, case studies and presentations with an emphasis on independent learning to develop your problem solving skills.
Assessment
Assessment is through supervised mini-projects, presentations, time-constrained assignments and examinations
