Course descriptionWhat will I learn?
The programme consists of the following modules:
-Standards and Auditing
-Occupational Health and Hygiene
-Safety Conservation
-Research Design and Delivery
-Environmental Impact Assessment
-Risk Regulation
The MSc course is completed by a dissertation.
Teaching is by lectures, some delivered by visiting practitioners, and site visits. Students will also be given opportunities to reflect on practical applications of interventions to protect safety and health.
Assessment
Each module is assessed individually through one item of assessment. This can be a traditional or open-book examination, or coursework comprising an individual or group assignment (which may have multiple components).
Career progression
Graduates from the programme will be employed in environmental protection and occupational safety and health in private and public sector organisations.
Entry Requirements
-An honours degree in any subject
-An ordinary degree, HNC or HND with relevant experience
-We welcome applications from students with alternative qualifications and/or significant relevant experience, subject to approval through a process of Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).
-International students must provide evidence of proficiency in English - IELTS 6.0 band score or a score of TOEFL 550 or above (213 computer based) with a TWE of 4.0 are proof of this
