  • Course description MSc: 12 months full-time; 24 months part-time, up to 60 months on modular route

    This programme will introduce you to the development, analysis and evaluation of public policy. It will be of interest to recent graduates as well as to post-experience applicants currently working in a wide range of roles within b. The programme has been developed in consultation with the Scottish Executive in order to meet some of the training and development needs of civil servants.

    Content

    Core courses

        * Contemporary government and governance
        * Policy analysis
        * Policy design and delivery
        * Dissertation (including research methods).

    You will also take options from the following:

        * Crime and community safety
        * Housing and social inclusion
        * Regeneration and health.
        * Current issues in funding welfare
        * Partnership working and joined up government
        * Economic development and employment.
