Course descriptionThere is a shortage of skilled housing managers and this course recognises the skills needed to meet the changing nature of housing organisations.
It is for newly recruited housing graduates as well as existing employees and managers wishing to improve their management skills.
We cover areas such as • strategic planning • performance management • partnership development • asset management.
You attend a series of intensive block days at the start of each module and then a few follow up days.
You take responsibility for your own learning and study through a mix of
• face-to-face sessions given by our academic staff and consultants
• work-based learning
• online input and discussion
The course contains mostly work-based learning with online support through Blackboard, our online learning system.
Your final piece of work is a substantial piece of consultancy work for your sponsoring employer.
