ObjectivesThe programme aims to provide engineers and industrial practitioners with an advanced specialism in petroleum and natural gas engineering and business management. The programme also enables the engineers and scientists to understand exploration, drilling, production and distribution and transmission of oil and gas from practical and theoretical viewpoints. The knowledge and the skills acquired in problem solving in terms of development, design, business and economics management in oil and gas engineering assist the graduate in making management or scientific decisions. Graduates from the course, based on the suitability of their entry qualifications, with a completed MSc degree may be eligible to join the Institution of Gas Engineers & Managers or Petroleum Engineering which may enable them to qualify as a Chartered Engineer
Entry requirementsThe Petroleum & Gas Engineering Programme is designed for graduates, after their first degree or equivalent who are working, or intend to work in the oil or natural gas industry.
