    This part-time, online programme is a collaborative venture between the University of Edinburgh, the University of Sydney and the University of California. Following the core curriculum of the International Association for the Study of Pain, students receive clinically relevant education of international standard in the sciences, concepts, approaches and procedures that form the basis of pain management.

    Learning Outcomes

    Students will develop:

        * a deep understanding of the principles and practices that underpin the biopsychosocial approach in the management of pain;
        * the ability to make a strong contribution towards improved outcomes for patients with pain problems;
        * expertise in evidence-based approaches to practice, in both clinical and nonclinical contexts;
        * an understanding of specific fields of personal interest within pain management practice.

    The programme consists of both core and elective courses, and depending on the number of courses successfully completed, students will be awarded a Masters degree, Diploma or Certificate in Pain Management as appropriate.
