  • Objectives This innovative Masters programme will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of current service provision and the changing children's agenda across health education social care and allied environments.
  • Entry requirements Edge Hill Faculty of Health is committed to providing innovative and contemporary programmes for individuals seeking to advance their skills and knowledge to Masters level. The MSc in Integrated Children and Young People's practice is a part time programme, mapped against service drivers and frameworks, for individuals in health, education, social care, voluntary and private sector agencies and allied professions.

  • Course description What will I gain from this programme?

    You must achieve 180 credits at level 7 in order to gain the Master’s award.

        * You may however wish to exit with a postgraduate certificate (60 credits) after successfully completing the first year
        * You may wish to exit with a Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) after successfully completing both the first and second year.
        * After successfully completing years one and two and the dissertation year you will exit with Master’s Degree Integrated Children and Young People’s Practice (180 credits)

        * BMS 410 Managing Partnerships (10 credits)
        * HEA 9063 Strategic Leadership (10 credits)
        * HEA 9061 Contemporary Issues in Child Public Health (20 credits)
        * HEA 9066 Families in Crisis (20 credits)
        * HEA 4011 Social Research (20 credits)
        * HEA 9067 Child and Adolescent Sexual Health (10 credits)
        * HEA 9068 Social Inclusion (10 credits)
        * HEA 4009 Dissertation for Practice Based Professionals (60 credits)

    Plus one option from the following modules:

        * HEA 9065 Managing the Transitional Needs of Children and Young People (20 credits)
        * HEA 4504 Supporting Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (20 credits)
        * HEA 9070 Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Wellbeing (20 credits)
