ObjectivesThis MSc enables students without a first degree in computing to gain the skills necessary to move into a computing environment You will gain practical experience in using leading-edge software such as VB.Net and Oracle This course responds to the demand for graduates with a thorough knowledge of Information Technology The award delivers a good foundation in computing skills, particularly programming, databases, systems analysis and Internet technology The course can be tailored to allow you to rapidly develop your skills in a particular area and to increase your knowledge to an advanced level This is a modular course incorporating both practical and theoretical knowledge You will undertake a project, enabling you to develop high-level skills in cutting-edge technologies, strengthen you problem-solving abilities and study a topic of your choice in greater depth You will benefit significantly from working with the outstanding resources within the new Technology Centre
Entry requirementsYou should have an Honours degree - usually at least a second class Honours or equivalent All applicants should have an academic or commercial background in either IT or business In exceptional cases non-graduate applicants with substantial commercial experience will be considered
