ObjectivesThis programme is aimed at students who wish to specialise in the field of forensics, offering tuition in both the practical and the theoretical aspects of human bone analysis within a forensic setting.
Entry requirementsEntry Requirements Normally at least a 2:1 honours degree (or its equivalent) either in archaeology, anthropology, forensic science or a related subject.

Students who successfully complete the programme will be able to:
* identify and interpret human bone remains;
* develop hypothesis testing skills;
* carry out relevant scientific analyses, often in cooperation with experts in other disciplines;
* engage in theoretical and methodological discussions relevant to forensicanthropology;
* design research strategies based on transferable skills providing a basis for advanced studies (PhD and beyond).
How You Will Be Taught
The programme combines lectures, seminars, and hands-on practical work with human bone assemblages and pathological reference collections. Individual courses are assessed by means of practical reports and essays. Candidates for the MSc also complete a dissertation of approximately 15,000 words.
