Objectives
Aims The MSc in Finance is a Masters programme for students wishing to specialise in finance. The programme focuses on a series of advanced topics in finance. Such topics include advanced corporate finance, econometrics, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, empirical finance and asset pricing. The programme puts a strong emphasis on research-led teaching and students will be expected to write a dissertation in one of the cutting-edge research areas of finance. The programme is designed to give you a competitive edge in the changing job market by: Expanding your knowledge of finance. Developing the skills required to make investment and financing decisions. Enhancing your understanding of differences across financial systems. Encouraging the development of your key personal skills.

Entry requirements
Entry requirements Usually a good upper second class degree in finance, accounting and finance, or economics. Our standard English requirements for overseas students are: IELTS 7.0 with a minimum of 6 in each category or TOEFL 617 with 4.5 on the Test of Written English, which must be taken as a separate part of the TOEFL test, or 260 in the computer-based test with 5 in the TWE. Candidates from non-UK universities may be required to take GMAT.

Certificate/Diploma in Finance
Students who successfully complete the first semester but do not proceed receive the Certificate. Those who pass both semesters' modules but do not proceed receive the Diploma.
