ObjectivesWith its emphasis on hands-on experience and fieldwork, this specialist programme trains you in such areas as environmental audit, impact assessment, planning and the management of particular environments from individual buildings to wilderness landscapes, and from science parks to country parks
The course has a strong emphasis on the international nature of environmental issues, exploring various social, economic and cultural contexts within which environmental management systems must operate
You develop an individual study programme, giving you flexibility over choice of module and direction of study find out more about how you'll study
Modules include a dissertation (exploring a key issue in environmental management) and a research project (using your own data and analysis), both of which are supervised on a one-to-one basis
You are given the opportunity to undertake a work placement as part of your degree
Entry requirementsNormally, you should have at least a 2:2 Honours degree or equivalent - substantial professional experience can substitute for graduate status
We look for graduates with an appropriate Honours degree in a science subject
You should also have a good standard of written and spoken English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
