  • Objectives This course looks at all aspects of the Internet, ranging from the basic Internet communications technologies to the latest standards for Web services Although Internet use is now common within business and commerce, and in emerging areas such as e-government, a second generation Web 2.0, the Semantic Web is under development. This award explores these new technologies This will use technologies based on Extensible Markup Language (XML) and greatly expand the opportunities which were available in the first-generation Web This Masters degree is completed with a substantial individual project, including practical, technical, and academic work
  • Entry requirements For the MSc award, we normally require an Honours degree in any subject Students without a sufficient background in computing will be required to take, as part of their programme, one or more specialist induction modules Students with a background in computing will have a greater choice of modules
