  • Objectives You'll focus on the construction of a games engine and the tools used in its development. Topics such as kinematics, advanced agent behaviour and real-time interactive systems are studied in depth, and you'll be brought up to date with the latest academic research in interactive computer entertainment and intelligent environments.
  • Entry requirements The normal entry requirement is an honours degree, first or second class, in games programming or subjects such as computer graphics or visualisation, preferably with some computer games experience. Equivalent qualifications may also be considered - for example, applicants who have appropriate professional experience.

    The course concentrates on all aspects of developing a game engine and the techniques required for real-time imagery and physical simulation.
