ObjectivesYou'll focus on the construction of a games engine and the tools used in its development. Topics such as kinematics, advanced agent behaviour and real-time interactive systems are studied in depth, and you'll be brought up to date with the latest academic research in interactive computer entertainment and intelligent environments.
Entry requirementsThe normal entry requirement is an honours degree, first or second class, in games programming or subjects such as computer graphics or visualisation, preferably with some computer games experience. Equivalent qualifications may also be considered - for example, applicants who have appropriate professional experience.

The course concentrates on all aspects of developing a game engine and the techniques required for real-time imagery and physical simulation. You'll explore the emerging AI techniques for games of the future and will develop your understanding and experience of research and collaborative working.
