ObjectivesThis programme offers training in the key areas of banking and financial services. It provides you with an understanding of: * the economic, financial and legal environment in which providers of financial services operate; * management and regulation of financial markets, various models of pricing financial assets such as stocks, bonds and electives contracts and the underlying assumptions of such models; * how risk averse agents can hedge risk.
Entry requirementsEntry requirements Applicants for MSc programmes should have at least a 2.1 Honours degree, or equivalent non-UK degree. Normally, this should be a degree in economics or finance or a joint degree containing a significant amount of economics.

We expect graduates from this programme to gain employment in financial institutions, government organisations and international organisations such as the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. The programme also provides a strong foundation for PhD research.
Content
You will take four compulsory courses and two elective courses. You will write a dissertation of between 12,000 – 15,000 words.
