ObjectivesTo offer knowledge and expertise for a career in the rapidly expanding field of molecular simulation, widely used in the pharmaceutical and materials industry as well as in academic research.
Entry requirementsEntry Requirements:
1st or 2nd class UK Honours degree, or equivalent. Suitable for graduates in chemistry or a related discipline e.g. chemical engineering, physics, pharmacy and biochemistry.
Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to pass either IELTS/TOEFL exams.
Academic titleMolecular Modelling (MSc)
Course descriptionCourse Description:
The course is designedto give a broad but thorough view of the rapidly expanding field of molecular modelling and simulation, ranging from the fundamental theoretical basis of modelling techniques, to their application, to problems in chemistry, materials and life sciences. The course is mainly taught by the thriving modelling group within chemistry (see above). Students are introduced to real world applications through practical applications, visiting lecturers, and an extensive summer research project.
Special Features:
* Hands-on experience of many modern chemical software packages.
* In-depth treatment of theory and applications from specialist academics and industrialists.
* Excellent employment prospects.
