This programme offers opportunity for the advanced study of a range of subject areas within theology and religious studies. You will choose three options, according to your interests and vocational requirements, in fields such as
* Islam
* Interfaith studies
* Biblical studies
* Systematic theology
* Practical theology
* Church history
* Literature and theology
* Ethics.
You are free to choose as one of these a course offered by another department. You must also complete a dissertation on an agreed topic under the supervision of a member of staff.
The programme offers excellent opportunities to study a broad range of topics. For those with more specialist interests we also offer dedicated programmes in literature and theology, and interfaith studies. Graduates go on to pursue a variety of careers in education, social services, religious ministry, industry and the arts.
The degree may be used by some students as a gateway to undertake research at PhD level.
