Course descriptionThe programme benefits from the vibrant research environment of the department that hosts a series of seminars and guest lectures as well as the annual international Screen conference. In the core course you will explore research methodologies in filmand television studies through the study of examples of Ôbest practiceÕ. The optional courses reflect the research interests of departmental academic staff and cover specialised areas of film and television studies in a national and international context.
Optional courses in the programme vary each year but have included:
* Music and the moving image
* Screen adaptations
* Children and television
* Television drama
* Documentary film and television
* Animation
* Screen bodies.
Specialist staff will supervise a dissertation of 15,000 words on a topic chosen by you.
