MEng Mechanical Systems Engineering with Management

  • Objectives The MEng in Mechanical Systems Engineering with Management is a four year degree. You will specialise in traditional mechanical systems engineering for the first three years, and then receive focused management teaching in year four. The mechanical systems engineering part of this course builds on the traditional subject of mechanical engineering, and embraces concepts such as advanced manufacturing systems, active control of vibration and robotics. Graduates of this course are qualified to work in fields such as advanced manufacturing systems, automotive engineering, power generation and sustainable energy and robotics. We use a wide variety of teaching and assessment methods to deliver a broad learning experience and equip you with transferable skills. There are also opportunities to study another language, and take part in group and individual projects.
  • Entry requirements Entry requirements GCE/VCE A Levels - BBB* BTEC National Diploma - 3 Distinctions and 1 Merit* Two GCE A Levels plus two GCE AS Levels - BB+BB* Scottish Highers - AABB* Irish Leaving Cert. - ABBBB* International Baccalaureate - 32 points* Core Requirements - GCE A Level including Maths and Science or Technology. Applicants offering the above plus two VCE A Levels or a Double Award VCE A Level in Science or Engineering will be considered.
