English First Language or English Second Language (Cambridge IGCSE) grade C Certificate of Proficiency in English or Certificate in Advanced English (Cambridge ESOL) grade C If you do not currently have an English Language qualification at the required level then it may be possible to arrange a pre-sessional course. Unit grade information: The University of Manchester welcomes the provision of unit grade information which, like all other available information, will inform the consideration of applications. Unit grades will not normally form part of offer conditions, except for Mathematics programmes. GCSE: C English Language & Maths. Key Skills qualification: The University warmly welcomes applications from students studying the Key Skills qualification. However, as the opportunities to take these modules are not open to all applicants, currently this is not an essential requirement of the University.     The internet is perhaps the most familiar communication network. It comprises many types of network, including: radio, satellite, cable, infra-red, optical-fibre and microwave. This course offers you opportunity to study all of these network types and understand how network protocols enable them all to work together to transport information across the office or around the world.

    Microcomputer Engineering II, Embedded Systems Project, Digital Systems Design II, Data Networking, Electronic Circuit Design II, Microelectronic Components, Signals & Systems, Transmission Lines and EM Waves, Control Systems I, Communication Principles, Software Engineering, Engineering Mathematics III.

    Course content for year 3
    Optoelectronic Devices and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Individual Project, Digital Communications, Systems Engineering, Codes, Sequences and Cryptography, Concurrent Systems, Design and Implementation of VLSI Systems, Real Time Systems, RF and Microwave Circuit Design, Mobile Radio and Wireless Communications, Distributed Systems and Internet Technology, Tools and Techniques for Enterprise.
