ObjectivesThe MBA programme is designed as a top-up for existing holders of a Diploma in Management Studies (DMS). The MBA is part of an integrated programme of study that allows progression from the CMS, via the DMS to the MBA.
An advanced programme of study that explores leadership as a strategic relationship and as a process for change using theoretical perspectives and practice-based experience.
Entry requirementsDiploma in Management Studies (DMS) or MSc Business and Management (MBM) or equivalent 120 M Level Credits.
In addition to the Academic entry the applicant must have:
* Other qualifications and/or experience that has demonstrated that the applicant can meet the demands of the course PLUS
* A minimum of two years of relevant work experience
It is also expected that applicants possess good communication and IT skills.

General programme structure
The top-up contains no formal lectures and consists of an action-based research topic based in an institution of your choice. You will be allocated a supervisor from the Plymouth Business School who will guide you through the process.
Essentially a project based programme, students submit a project that builds on the academic studies of the DMS and their work experience, and which demonstrates an involvement with and implementation of a strategic aspect of the employer company.
Students can register on the MBA top-up as soon as the DMS has been successfully completed. Students then have access to first class support from academic tutors, advice on careers.
