Academic titleMaster in Science in Computing
Course descriptionMost of our courses require you to take and pass a specific set of modules. However, if you feel that you would like to make your own choice from what is on offer, you can choose the MSc Computing. The only constraint is that you include two core modules in either information systems, software development, or network computing, together with the research methods module, in your programme. The other seven modules can be chosen from all those available at postgraduate level in the School, subject to you having the prerequisite knowledge to study them. You can use them to construct a course that meets your own requirements. You will also undertake a practical or a research-based project which can be linked to a real client or to one of the research groups in the School.
This course would suit students who have specific requirements or interests (perhaps related to their employment experience) which do not directly fit one of our?other courses. The Computing course may also suit students who decide they do not want to specialise but would prefer a more general course.
