Objectives
This course is specifically tailored for those wishing to fulfil the academic requirements for membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing. The Postgraduate Diploma comprises five core modules taken over three semesters. If you wish to obtain the MA award you must complete three further modules, including a dissertation. An alternative MA route is available for those not seeking CIH membership.

Entry requirements
Applications are invited from graduates with a good undergraduate degree in any subject, but who have also had some experience of working in the public, private or community sectors. Alternatively, applications will also be considered from students who do not hold the formal entry requirements but can demonstrate substantial relevant work experience in an appropriate managment role.

Course Content
The course explores both the current policy content of housing practice as well as investigating the underlying theoretical debates focused around the management of change and urban governance.
There are three main aims:
To develop an understanding of the processes and procedures of housing policy and to identify best practice.
To acquire a critical appreciation of the underlying dynamics of housing policy.
To enhance personal and professional skills
