ObjectivesThe course aims to equip you with an up-to-date advanced analysis of business economics. It provides a balanced exposition of theoretical and operational issues in business economics; covers analytical techniques and quantitative research methods appropriate for analysing complex problems and issues in the field of business economics. An emphasis on case study analysis will consider the analysis of key sectors as a means of developing your analytical skills and knowledge base. The course will develop further your ability to undertake business research.
Entry requirementsNormally a lower second-class UK Honours degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting, Management or related degrees with major components in Economics, Mathematics or Statistics. Applicants with substantial relevant professinal experience will also be considered. Credit transfer is possible. Those without the standard requirements can attend the Graduate Diploma in Economics course prior to enrolling on this postgraduate degree.

Assessment
A variety of assessment methods are used including traditional examinations, open book computer workshops, essays, reports, in-class tests case studies and presentations.
