The Specializing Master provides the methodological tools and design skills to become an accessory designer, ranging from fashion to product and combining high craftsmanship with high technology.
Course:
Today, accessories make fashion. Shoes, jewelry, handbags and hats are the icons of style and taste, symbols of distinction and identity but also witnesses of the made in Italy quality. For this reason the major fashion brands always give more importance to accessories in its multiple interpretations requiring dedicated professionals. Accessories also intersect with the high-tech performance materials.
Designed in accordance with the spirit and tradition of the Politecnico di Milano, the Specializing Master allows you to combine hand and mind, experimentation and tradition, technology and craftsmanship, prototype and industrial production, in collaboration with some of the largest companies in the sector.

Attendance is mandatory for at least 75% of the programme activities.

The Specializing Master provides the methodological tools and the design skills to become accessory designer, with professional application ranging from fashion to product and combining superior craftsmanship with high technology.
Didactic Plan:
There are several thematic areas developed in project workshops with designers and international professionals. It is a unique perspective on the world of accessories that can provide employment opportunities in heterogeneous fields.
At the end of the Specializing Master, students perform an internship (lasting 400 hours) at a company or a design studio. This activity is an essential part of the training process, because it enables students to put what they have learned into practice within the context they have chosen.
Title Released:
At the end of the programme, once the final examination has been passed, the 1st level Specializing Master “Accessory design” diploma will be issued with the related achievement of 60 CFU/ECTS.

Admission:
Requirements:
The Specialising Master is open to applicants who have a university degree (Laurea, equivalent to a Bachelor of Science) under the old or the new educational system or a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to a Master of Science) under the new educational system in Architecture, Engineering and Design, and to applicants with equivalent qualifications.
