Academic titleManufacturing Systems Engineering Master in Science / Postgraduate Diploma
Course descriptionIn an ever-demanding world market place the need to be competitive in manufacturing for companies is essential. Businesses are re-organising themselves in response to the challenges and demands of the twenty first century and must be flexible and responsive to the changing market requirements. Manufacturing companies must produce high quality, cost effective products in quick response time to customer demand. In order to do this, successful manufacturing companies must embrace the skill and expertise of engineering, business and management. The current focus in manufacturing is to eliminate waste through lean production systems. This is then supported by the application of current technology in materials, processing techniques and information technology to attain a competitive advantage.
Postgraduate engineering courses have also been developed jointly between MS Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies, Bangalore, India and Coventry University. The curriculum has been developed as per Coventry University rules and regulations and complies with QAA standards. Coventry University confers the MSc Manufacturing Systems Engineering degree to successful candidates. MSRSAS also conducts PhD degrees with Coventry University.
