Course description
Course Description
The MA/MFA in Theatre Directing is a practice-led professionally-oriented programme designed for theatre directors. It uses diverse teaching (by a wide range of experienced directors and professional practitioners from the UK and overseas, like Samuel West and Fiona Shaw) and learning strategies, such as workshops and master classes, to prepare directors for their encounter with a complex and changing professional environment. It is open to students from across the world and students can also study individual modules, usually lasting three to four weeks each. East 15 runs some of these overseas, most recently in Moscow, Thailand and Bali, involving practical study in another cultural environment. This course is on offer at the Southend Campus.
