MA Sports Management

  • Objectives This postgraduate programme was developed in conjunction with the Bristol Business School and provides students with the opportunity to explore the concept of Sports Management. The MA delivers, from an academic perspective, the development of a conceptual understanding of the processes that underpin the effective management of sports services and events. This is done through the identification of clients’ needs, application of financial and human resources and development of business proposals and plans. The programme comprises eight taught modules and a management dissertation (incorporating research methods) which are coherently structured to afford students the opportunity to build on pure business principles and apply them to Sports Management. At the start of the programme, you will be assigned a personal academic tutor to support you throughout the duration of your studies and assist you in formulating your individual goals and interests.
