Objectives
The modules are specifically designed to reflect current development and thinking in the field of Sociology.
Core modules:
Sociological Theory
Researching Sociological Issues
Society at Issue
Professional Practice in Sociology
Contemporary Issues in Global Society
Dissertation Module
There will also be a number of optional modules available.
The course will provide graduates with an extensive knowledge of Sociology as a subject as well as a range of transferable knowledge and skills. Students will advance their knowledge and understanding of sociological theory as well as receiving research methods training in the core modules of Sociological Theory and Social Research Methods.

Entry requirements
You will need an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honours degree (normally a 2.2 or above).
English language requirements
International students will need the IELTS 6.5 (min writing score 6.0), TOEFL 560 (min writing score 5) or the TOEFL iBT 83 (min writing score 24)
