ObjectivesThe course will focus on current practice, concepts and issues that underpin sports journalism, such as social, ethical, commercial and cultural issues affecting worldwide sport, together with appropriate enterprise skills. The course will draw on the burgeoning world of New Media and comprise broadcast and electronic journalism alongside more traditional print platforms. Guest speakers and practising journalists will teach the majority of the curriculum. London as the location for the 2012 Olympics offers unique opportunities for students to undertake work-based learning and a wide range of practice and academic work.
Entry requirementsApplicants will be expected to have a good undergraduate degree and or commensurate experience in journalism, broadly defined.
