ObjectivesStudents examine a range of issues in the field of politics, media and journalism and the appropriate methods for carrying out research in this field. The MA in Political Communication is an academic course. You will have the opportunity to understand the practice of Political Communication through field trips to media and political institutions in London and the regions. This course aims to: -Provide an understanding of the theory and practice of political communication in contemporary Britain, informed by developments in a global context. -Provide the analytical and research skills to examine this fast-growing area. Graduates are currently working in a range of civic and governmental bodies, in public relations and in political organisations. Several also continue to work in the media.
Entry requirementsEntry Requirements 2:1 degree or overseas equivalent. Previous journalistic experience is not required but excellent writing and communication skills are essential, plus wide general knowledge and an appetite for critical research and investigation. Good computing and word processing skills are desirable. Minimum IELTS score of 7.0 overall with a minimum of 7.0 in the writing element.
