Course description
The MA Writing is a professionally focused course which treats your ambition as a writer seriously.
You complete a novel, script or collection of poems or stories as the submission for your MA. Our dedicated team of professional writers supervise you through to the completion of your work.
This course appeals to graduates in the arts and to teachers with a professional interest in writing. It is also suited to practising writers who need contact with their peers.
Some of our most successful students include best selling author of A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian, Marina Lewycka, T.S. Eliot short-listed poet Frances Leviston and Radio 4 and BBC TV script writer Sharon Oakes.
Our teaching of English was rated excellent in the first round of teaching quality assessments by the Higher Education Funding Council for England. The quality of research also scored highly in the latest Research Assessment Exercise.
