The MA in Human Geography Research is an innovative research training MA recognised by the ESRC.
The emphasis is on practical skills in qualitative and quantitative human geography, with a choice of advanced modules in contemporary cultural, economic and social geographies of both the developed and developing world.
The course involves inter-disciplinary co-operation with the Departments of Politics and Sociological Studies.
This MA is normally taken as year one of a 1+3 PhD programme but it is also available as a stand-alone one-year course for students requiring Master´s level research training for research posts in local and national government, voluntary organisations and the private sector.
